The mysterious blank item was just a mis-used layout Was expecting the chips_waiting_for_directory_search layout But was given the chips_recipient layout Fixed this to use the correct layout fixes b/6546713 Blank suggestion is sometimes shown even if nothing was typed that's at least part of the problem why it shows up "uninvited" is another question Change-Id: Ie60b9ae8f7f86dda4316fee43b3983fbe0f17cb0
